“Timeless” at Melidoni Cave
Σπήλαιο Μελιδονίου – Γεροντόσπηλιος
Within the unique atmosphere of Gerontospilios, “Timeless”, a musical and narrative performance by Antonis Leontidis, was presented.
A young woman, known as the “Maiden”, falls through the mouth of a clay vessel into the depths of the cave. There, she encounters a world beyond the familiar boundaries of time. Through music, narration and the cave’s distinctive natural setting, she discovers more about herself and the meaning of time.

Clean Monday in Melidoni 2026
Melidoni Central Square
Clean Monday was celebrated in Melidoni’s central square with traditional performances, games, music and festivities. A highlight of the celebration was the revival of “The Abduction of the Bride”, one of the village’s most distinctive Carnival customs.
